Unfortunately

I’ve been taking a break from writing because I’m not really getting any readers… Still debating whether I should close up the story. Dosen’t really matter anyway, I doubt anyone but myself will ever read this passage.

Chapter 1: It all Began

March 21, 2007

As I walked further and further down the abandoned road, I could feel a sort of presense amongst the frigid autumn air that blew through the branches of the rusty, dying trees.

The black tar quickly evolved into a clotted dirt path. The woods cannopied over me and light seemed to disapear slowly. Some scattered rays peeked out from behind the coulds – but for the most part my world was encased in shadows. The silence was shattered however when a small purple bird twittered by letting out a chirp to pertray it’s exsistance. After that, it seemed as if my surrounds had come alive. The wind blew with more force swaying the trees back and forth when the occational shriveled leaf floated to the ground near me and dance along side as I walked.

It wasn’t long until I spotted a particuular magenta colored tree near the side of the path. It’s shimering leaves glowed in the sunny horizon. It was interesting, so I drifted towards it to get a closer look. Looking closer, it seemed the leaves had a certain sparkle to them – like a fake christmas tree so I decided to snatch one for safe keeping when a sharp bark of a voice splurted out. “Don’t even think about it.” The mysterious voice sounded.

The voice had an old skratchiness to it like a skinny old woman but a jolliness to it as well. “Who is that?” I asked frantically; I was excited – i’ve thought i’d stumbled across an elf of some sort hiding in the tree. “Are you an elf?” I questioned the voice. “Do I look like an elf?” the voice snapped back seemingly insulted. “I can’t see you.” I said with a confused look on my face. “You’re looking right at me missy.” The voice eminated again. I slowly made my way around the tree, climbing it with my eyes – I looked around the surrounding area distressed. “What, haven’t you ever seen a Muslidum before?” The voice cracked again with a giggle. “Where are you!?” I demanded an explaination. “I’m right here you dunce. Elves, so stupid somtimes.” The voice splurted out. “I’m not an elf.” I cracked back. The branch of the magenta tree gentely moved down and seemed to wrap around my hair; lifting it up seemingly examing my ears. “What the…” I quickly jumped in shock and began to run away – now knowing there was no being talking to me.

As I ran I shoveled dry dirt into the air with every step causing a cloud of smudge behind me, I didn’t look back.. I was in shock. had a tree accually been talking to me?… Am I going mad? As I ran further down the dirty path my vision became fogged.

Unaware of where I was going, my foot got locked into an uplifted root and I came crashing down. The last thing I saw was a little girl about 10 feet away walking toward me and then my world went black…

Prologue

March 20, 2007

My grandfather, bold, humble. He was a fighter, he fought the reaper till the end on that dreaded day… the day he passed; the day all his work was put to waste in the basement shelves. I was only seventeen, with but memories of his faded old face and the stories he used to tell.

I began taking intrest in his “legends” and studies. The soft red wood wit hthe cobwebs that held his dusty work became mine and that’s when my studdies began.

Rumaging through the papers, notes, books, letters… they had a certain feel to them. They made me think of the word “old” or “smudge”. The feel of dried mud and the smell of warm bust beaneath my nostrils. They made my fingers drylike the auburn wood they lay on. The inked words that scribbled across them reminded me of the stories he used to tell; the ones about Mt. Luna and the lost elven people.

The wonder and curiosidy about the lost civilization has snaged me just as it did my grandfather. I’ve been studying for years now, two to be exact.

I’ve read every passage, journal, book, and note about Mt. Luna. Little did I know there was one last drop of information left in this ole’ bottle of a house. It was a stormy night, the rain hit my roof like tiny sludge hammers. It wasn’t long until the ligtning knocked out my power. The darkness of the cold basment gave me a fright and I dropped my glasses behind the old auburn desk.

I jumped out of my seat and onto the floor reaching back and feeling the cold dusty concrete floor. Peices of sand and dirt collected on my hand, it felt lik eI was being tugged under by it. Suddenly the feel of dry mud and a deeling that starched my fingers slapped against my hand.

The lights popped on and I looked at the blurry image in front of me. Quickly, I snatched my glasses which were lying deadlike a foot away and threw them on.

The tattered peice of lost paper in my hand was a map… not just any map, a map to Mt. Luna. I was excited I jumped out of my seat and smiled at the peice of paper. I wondered though, why hadn’t my grandfather ran off in search of Mt. Luna if e had the map all along? I quickly ran up stairs leaving dusty foot prints on each step and packed up some clothes. My old blue pickup was out side and I made for it – in hope to find the lost city I’ve studied for years.

I’ve been driving for days now, probably gone over a thousand miles. The map was easy reading – it was like someone had taken notes and written them down. The road was bumpy and falling apart – I could tell I was getting close and I hoped to see ruins.

But I could see somthing bright off in the distance, I couldn’t tell what it was until I got near it. Strangely it was a blocked off area. It was old and untouched. I hopped out of my car to have a closer look.

Having seen the dusty warning signs I knew I was close. I could smell the crisp forrest and the magic of the montain and it’s mysterious wonders. I could taste the air, it was like no other… a sense of pride in the air and I glanced at the old wooden sign reading “WARNING. GO BACK. BEWARE.” Should I climb over and make what seemed to be a very long walk through a deserted road or leave all my dreams behind… I began to climb over the blockage.

Chapter 2.4 (Bendett)

March 15, 2007

A few days later…

Eva had been vomiting every five minuets or so. The coming newborn was giving her major morning sickness, almost to the point of hospitalization. Eva had stationed herself in the bathroom for the day until this throwing-up streak seizes. All the sickness has giving Eva more doubt and mixed feelings about the whole baby business. She’s begining to think it was all one big mistake and she blames herself for it all…

Months later…

On top of all the nausia Eva’s been getting there’s work to be done in the house, cooking cleaning, yardwork, laundry, bed-making, counter-wahsing, fly-snatching, sweeping, mopping, and organizing. The whole burden is laying on Eva’s shoulders while vince is working at the “Office” “downtown” or atleast that’s what Eva thinks – the truth is; Vince is in a storage room in Sim City with Jewel Snatchngrab the crime boss and the rest of the criminal crew… Darell Farr, Malicious Sly, “Slick” Knavish, and the crime boss’s brother Bill Snatchngrab. All the stress has caused Eva to further dislike the idea of the baby coming, she knew it was coming soon and she knew she’d dread the day it would happen…

Suddenly, Eva felt a quick jerk in her stomach then alot of pain; she knew it would come soon and it was, the newborn was on it’s way. Luckily for her, The repairman had just arrived and hastily drove Eva to the ER…

After all the pain and anguish of baby birthing, Eva was allowed to see *her*. Eva just stared at the little thing with a squinted face, trying not to look disappointed in front of the Doctor. She sighed and gave the baby back to the Doctor; there was no more mixed feelings, Eva hated the little pile of moosh she had just concieved.

Vince arrived immedietly after work to see the new born and Eva but he made it look like he was more interested in the baby then he was interested in Eva’s feelings at the moment. He waited in the waiting room for about 10 minuets.

The Doctor drifted into the room and smiled at Vince and kind of calming smile, before she let out any words Vince knew everything was good. She old him Eva was fine but taking a rest in the other room and that it was a pristine procedure. Vince asked about the baby, the docter smiled again and said she’s great, I’ll bring her out. Vince smiled and thought about what to name his new daughter.

The doctor made an enterance with the baby in her arms, Vince julted up and made toward them, he felt a surge of joy go through him like electricity. He was entranced by the look on her tiny face and her sparkling green eyes like her father staring right back into his. It was more anyone could say for Eva who was tearing in her room trying to get over herself. Eva planned on not telling Vince about the drama with the baby.. She’d just put it behind her and maybe she’d grow into her new lifestyle… or maybe not, and will she ever find out about Vince’s secret business in Sim City? and will the families secerts eventually break them up?

Chapter 2.3 (Bendett)

March 15, 2007

Eva had been feeling sick a week after the wedding. She thought it might have been the wedding cake or somthing but she went to the doctors to have a look see…

“Eva, you’re pregnent!” Doctor Randolf said with a sour smile on his face.

Eva had a loss of words, she didn’t know if she should be happy or distraught. But she smiled and said “Really, I am. Wow, that’s a surprise… I can’t wait to tell vince!” She was released frm the doctors office after rescheduling another appointment for next week and hurried home to reveal the good news.

But not before giving herself a beautiful makeover. (I’ve been messing around with a few meshes and downloads.)

Thankfully, Vince was perfectly okay with it – he was even excited himself being a family sim and all. He’d like to have 10 kids with her if he could. But, Eva on the otherhand thinks it’s too soon and she’s having mixed feelings on wether or not she’ll be a good mother. And will She ever find out about Vince’s secret?

Note to readers

March 15, 2007

As you can see, I’ve been trying to make the chapters a bit longer. Most of them consist of two or three pictures but I want to get atleast 5 – 15 pictures in at once – This way I can move the story by faster with less detail. Should be more fun to read anyways. Enjoy 😉

Chapter 2.3 (Bendett)

March 14, 2007

The date started out smoothly, the two talked about their lives. Making conversation wasn’t hard for Eva, she was very talkative and outgoing – she could make a conversation about anything with anyone.

Vince did most of the flirting, he was the type that sweet talked alot. The rest of the date went great – they danced caressed eachothers hands, talked and made alot of progress .

After the date, Vince walked Eva home.

A small yet romantic kiss by her door – and it all went uphill from here.

A few months slowly flooded by and the couple decided to move in together in Eva’s small home on the outskirts of town.

Vince finally relized that the only reason he got a job in law enforcment was because he wanted to be more in action with the criminals. He had a lust for crime, windle, smuggling, and anything else sneaky and exciting. Little did Eva know, that he quit his job in the force and obtained one as a pick pocket. It’s a bit ironic for a convict and a police officer to be living togther so he decided to keep it a secret.

A few months after Vince’s mid life crisist. Vince popped the question at the breakfast table while the two were sitting in there underwear. Overwelmed with excitment Eva agrees.

Not long after the two had a small wedding consisting of a few neighbors and close friends.

Chapter 2.1 (Bendett)

March 14, 2007

The next day after work Eva was excited and nervous waiting on the arrival of Vince’s call. She wondered if he would call back, she wondered if he liked her.

She walked into her house and stared at the phone. Suddenly, it rang. Eva sprung up and answered it.

It was Vince. Asking her to go on a date with him, Eva splurted out a quick yes and told him what time to pick her up. She hung up the phone with a smile on her face and went to get ready.

Chapter 2 (Bendett)

February 8, 2007

Before long, they were chatting on the couch for nearly an hour. It semmed as if Vince really liked Eva, same goes for her. About a minuet after, Vince’s partner was back and beeping the horn for him to hurry up. Vince quickly ended the converstaion with a ‘Thank you for the coffee’ and asked Eva for her number. Eva told him and they smiled at eachother.

they hugged goodbye… Eva knew that their relationship was probably going somewhere but she also knew she didn’t want a family.. just yet. She wanted to get her act together, and have enough money to support a family and right now – she didn’t.

Chapter 1.9 (Bendett)

February 8, 2007

Without thinking, Eva wrapped her arms around the police officer in joy. She was affriad he might have stolen her expensive work-out machine. When she backed off her face was almost as red as her short wavy hair.

Quickly thinking, Eva changed the subject. She talked about how he was great taking out that burglar. Their conversation lasted awhile, they seemed to have alot in common. Before Vince could notice, his partner had left – taking the theif to the station. Vince decided to stay, besides, Eva asked if he wanted coffee.
